I am happy to be part of Musrara Mix Festival 2018, this festival is an international multidisciplinary event that takes place in the borderline neighborhood of Musrara, initiated and produced by the Naggar Multidisciplinary School of Art and Society, Musrara. My piece, Boiling Point, sets to reference the complexity of identity politics in Jerusalem, and seeks to reference Musrara’s position as an ongoing boiling point for politics, struggles for identity, and activism.
The piece, a moving image installation/performance, will create an “in the middle of it all” point in which those overlooked are represented, silently, in the midst of never-ending political claims. It will include a poem by Darin Tatur, who’s been convicted for incitement over publicising a political poem online (details in Hebrew).
